Zak is from a small rural town on the
Connecticut/Rhode Island line. He currently
lives in the East Village, New York City.
Working extensively in the Improv Comedy scene in New York after college, Zak has studied and performed improv at New York’s most prestigious comedy clubs including Upright Citizens Brigade, Peoples Improv Theatre, Gotham Comedy Club as well as having a 6+ year residency at The Creek & The Cave with the improv team The Internet Disagrees.
In unison with comedy, he has been working in TV and Film since 2016. Zak has appeared on camera with talents such as Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston, Nicole Kidman, Ryan Eggold, Julian McMahon, Griffin Dunne, Eddie Kay Thomas, and has been directed by Neil Burger and Bryan Greenberg to name a few.
Zak has trained with prolific acting coach and mentor Terry Knickerbocker since 2018.
When not acting, Zak likes to enjoy his other passion, songwriting. His upcoming debut album “Brand New Old Stuff” is being released in the spring of 2023!
Zak wrote, directed, and starred in the short film “In the Still of the Night” – In which he WON BEST ACTOR at the New Haven 48 Hour Film Project. The film also garnered nominations for Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography.
